Does anyone else think that the reason Miles(the Paranormalist) AKA "Ghostbuster" is to try and find or talk to Jacob
Astute observation. Apparently the people behind Naomi's 'mission' know exactly what they are doing. Apparently Ben does too, since he has a 'man on their boat.'
As I mentioned before this ep, that 'Oceanic lawyer' was not a lawyer and the 'company' he works for is either the owners of the former Dharma Initiative/ Widmore Inds? or some other third party we don't know yet.
The flashbacks of the 'rescue team' showed they were keenly interested in Oceanic 815, and that is a bit strange. They must have some prior knowledge. The woman Ben shot just happened to be wearing kevlar, not to mention that Ben knew pretty much everything that was happening. So, this time travel element keeps coming up - things like polar bears with dharma initiative tokens buried in ancient dig sites...
Very compelling tv for those who (like me) thrive on attention to detail.
Did anyone else catch Locke's comment about his gunshot wound, and why he survived it?
I've just got around to watching the season 4 premiere. Excellent... been missing Lost.
Also, because of the fact I hadn't watched the premiere yet, I hadn't read any of this thread yet... so I started perusing it tonight. This video was originally posted TonyD.
It backs up a theory that I have been more and more convinced of since season 1 (and still get the snickers from my friends, but not after I show them this video ). I also mentioned it after the season finale in season 3's thread here. Mark my words... "the Losties are doubles... possibly everyone on that island is a double, or clone. It's probably why they can't reproduce. Maybe somehow the island's magnetic properties rip matter apart and create these doubles. Something like that could also explain Richard's agelessness. Maybe he keeps getting cloned, or doubled, every few years... maybe it's Richard v.8.6 ."
According to Wikipedia the Oceanic lawyer Abbadan, has a special meaning in the Bible as keeper of the abyss or the Archangel of destruction, and, after mistyping in a search engine, I came upon this Heaven and Hell, which goes into more depth. If there is anything to the name than this guy is going to be more frightning than he appears!

Been thinking along doppleganger lines as well. The newer doubles could have their physical problems resequenced out if their doubling follows a DNA path more than an environment path.
Just musings really, it could explain Loches ability to walk, but the same theory would make you think he'd actually have two, kidneys if one thought along the lines of a DNA based accurate double. So the thought process gets short circuited here like a lot of things in Lost Cross purposes and confusion!
Still, I'm thinking doubles as well, but how does the time travel, magnetism, and spiritual beliefs, living dead people, ghosts, and even a murderous terminator type ( remember old Russian one eye who can't stay dead ? ) fit all in..
Well, Enigma should have been the name of the show, but Lost will do.
The flashback could have been the oceanic laywer's flashback, and Naomi just appeared in his flashback. They certainly have shown dead people in the flashbacks before :p
i hope they break the rule. i'd rather have a plot-progressing flashback/flashforward that isn't related to a living central character, than one that is, that was totally contrived. sticking to a format too strictly can be a hindrance.
in one episode they introduced time travel and ghosts so matter-of-factly, something they never could have done during S1. i remember the big leap of faith from S3 when Desmond's precognition was introduced.
