Re: Lost: Season Four

i dont see much of anything in that picture, forget about a white line.

i watch in hd and anything that isnt a day shot looks horrible.

the shot of CS in the rocking chair was barely visible other then
someone was in a rocking chair.

Re: Lost: Season Four

Tony, perhaps 6ABC is to blame for our horrible picture quality. I'm baffled when I read people on here talk about the video quality of LOST in a positive way.

Again, sorry for the quality, moving it to my PC degraded the pic some. If anyone is interested, I grabbed that still from about minute 34 on my Tivo.
The way the shot was setup, I felt like it was inviting us to look for the white line. Why else would they do an overhead shot like that?

I certainly don't expect anyone to remember me 65 years after I die, but you wouldn't know that from the way I act.

I agree, I get SD feed and especially in the darker scenes, not only pixelization, but a strange sort of fuzziness, I can't really describe it right. Scenes in daylight are usually fine. I don't get this on other shows.

Re: Lost: Season Four

i've been rewatching S3 on bluray... tonight it was the episode where Claire gets the idea to catch the birds to tag with a distress message, but Desmond and Charlie are against it because of Desmond's visions. anyways by the end of the episode Desmond explains everything to Claire about his power. however i don't think this ever came up at the end of the season when Claire finds out that Charlie dies, nor did it come up before when Charlie goes off with Desmond on a dangerous plan to break into the underwater station...

greg, you watch in philly?

i agree that wphl in philly is an embarrassment as far as their digi channel goes.
they have 4 or 5 extra channels that are multi casting and it seriously degrades
pq, regardless of what channel 6 philly says.
there has been sound problems since the first episode.
i cant count how many times they forgot to hit the hd switch, including the recap episode before the the season premier.
13 minutes into that recap it finally switched to hd.

Charlie took the heroic route and didn't tell her so she wouldn't worry. I would imagine that Desmond is going to have to deal with guilt over the situation (and explain himself to Claire) soon.

I watch from Philadelphia too and I'm real glad that Lost isn't on at 8 PM because, like you said, it takes them awhile to realize how to kick the HD feed in. Until it 'turned' HD, I just assumed the recap was supposed to be broadcast in SD.

there was an HD bug just at the start so i knew it should e HD.
i went right over to avsforum and posted in the philly thread about it and someone called their news line and basically told them to turn on the switch.

The final LOST: missing pieces webisode seemed to imply something a little different.

i just meant, both Hurley and Claire knew Charlie was setting off on a mission with Desmond, yet neither of them asked if Des had a premontion on the outcome either way...
