Mark, I greatly enjoy your sense of humour (BSG and Heroes threads IIRC), you should post more often .

Hardy har har! All kiddings aside, I am an Asian myself and I think they share some strong resemblance. Most likely purely coincidental, but this is Lost we are talking about.

Re: Lost: Season Four
So, Sayid is one of the Oceanic 6. Seems like Desmond was influential in his hairstyle
So that's Kate, Jack, Hurley, and him. That leaves 2 more. I guess it's the ones who are at the helicopter Juliet and Desmond
Edit: Ooops, forgot that Juliet and Desmond weren't on Flight 815.

Re: Lost: Season Four
Loved this episode. When Hurley was in the closet, I thought I knew why he was one of the Oceanic 6. That lasted about 4 minutes.

Just to play devil's advocate: Would the media (who presumably named the Oceanic 6) separate the people who were and were not on 815 though? If you were on the island, I think you'd be lumped in with the survivors. Plus, it seems like the 6 are being very quiet about what happened on the island so Juliet, Ben, Desmond, Alex, Karl or Rousseau might just be saying they were on the plane (despite what the manifest would say).

Re: Lost: Season Four
Maybe it's me, but I am not moved by the flash-forward storyline in tonight's episode. It just rings false in many ways.

I'll agree that it's hard to see Sayid deciding that it's a good idea to work with Ben but you haven't seen what happened to 'island Sayid' to make him 'flashforward Sayid' yet either.

Re: Lost: Season Four
i have to say that i'm leaning more to the alternate timeline or double timeline
theory.
what we know from this ep.
the island is about 31 minutes behind outside time.
ben has left the island in the past.
ben is alive in the "future".
time seems to move slower on the island.
Timer in the rocket: 3:16:22
Timer on the island: 2:45:03
so about 2:45 elapsed on the island while it took 3:16 for the rocket to get to island. right?
or maybe these were the actual times of that day.
so about 31 minutes longer for the rocket to get there then should have.
but voice did not need more time, voice works in real time.
there must be more.
dvdtalk picked a bad time to change servers.
from last ep, the picture frame switching
has to be something important.
i just cnt figure it out.
when miles did whatever he did in that room he must have switched a reality around somehow.
My "B" button rarely works.

I don't think it's a standard number. I think you're more correct when you say time passes differently on the island than off it. Thus, 3:16:22 could pass off the island while 2:45:03 could pass on it, but if you times something that took a day (24 hours) off the island, it might be 28 hours on it. Numbers are made up, but the point is I don't think it is a static ~31 minutes.
I thought they did a pretty good job of explaining why Sayid is working with Ben.
It'll be interesting to see if we actually see the ship next week. I kept expecting Naomi to come back to life.
Bring some type of captioning to internet streaming.

Re: Lost: Season Four
I love this show, but man my head is spinning.
The way this is headed, the remaining two members of the Ocenanic 6 are probably neither the main Losties, nor the "Others", but "The Rest".... The Professor and Mary Ann.

Re: Lost: Season Four
I have a problem with that awesome opening: The guy Sayid offed was involved enough with Island matters to be on Sayid's hit list. So you would think someone like that would recognize one of the Oceanic 6 immediately, no?

Did I miss something? How did they explain it?
Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.
