Carpooling: What do you guys think?
Surprised no one posted about it yet but, I watched the show lastnight and I had a good laugh. I"m easy to please but the whole premise on how these guys lives are outside of the carpool was pretty funny. One divorcee, new carpooler who apparently has to leave the car with the wife and in debt, the carpooler with the children who's wife looks like she does nothing all day and night, and the mediator who had major issues with his wife's salary and his son Maurice that appears to be over 21 and walks around the house all day in his briefs, (not boxers). Some good lines there, some physical comedy This might be a good one.

Re: Carpooling: What do you guys think?
I didn't even know this show existed until I was scheduling the recordings for the Fall season. I liked Fred Goss' other show, Sons & Daughters (as did my wife), so we watched it last night and enjoyed it. It has the same improv style that the other show had, but this one was created by Bruce McCullough of Kids in the Hall (the short one) and Fred is just an actor in the series.
Jerry McConnell is sort of a weak link here, but the actor playing Fred's son (whose name is Marmaduke!) is totally hilarious.
One of the actors looks like a young Anthony Edwards, circa Revenge of the Nerds.
BTW, when we saw Faith Ford as Fred's wife, my wife said, "oh, I guess that show (the one with Kelly Ripa) got cancelled".
Speaking of which, with the deadpan humor, unengaging title, lack of promotion, and AWESOME lead-in (Cavemen!), I can't see this lasting more than 10 episodes.

Re: Carpooling: What do you guys think?
This was average, not a lot of laughs, just a lot of bottled up anxiety that gets diffused through the carpool rides. Definitely in 4th spot for the Tuesday 8 p.m. timeslot (along with Cavemen).

Re: Carpooling: What do you guys think?
I kind of liked it myself...I managed to watch the full episode (which I wasn't able to do with Cavemen) and figure I'll watch at least a few more episodes to see if it maintains my interest. I've always liked Faith Ford so that's one point for the show...

Man, and I thought 'Big Bang Theory' was bad. At least this one doesn't have the laugh track though.

I have to admit, sometimes a laugh track helps me enjoy the show a little bit more. Yes it dumbs down the show sometimes but I think this show might need it to survive.

I think if a show needs a laugh track, then it must not be very good. I give this one 6 episodes before it's pulled.

Re: Carpooling: What do you guys think?
This show didn't do much for me. It tried to be edgy but didn't really succeed in being funny.
I thought Cavemen was much better.

Re: Carpooling: What do you guys think?
The only reason I watched this was to have something to watch before Reaper started.
I hated this. and REALLY hated Cavemen before Carpoolers.
I didn't find one thing funny about Carpoolers.
Sad too, as it's from Bruce from Kids in the Hall

Re: Carpooling: What do you guys think?
I would rather sit in a carpool than watch.
And yes, the Kelly Ripa sitcom was cancelled... years ago.
