Las Vegas season 5

Well its nice to see Tom Selleck on TV again... but did anyone else think that was a pretty lame wrapup to last seasons cliffhanger? I realize they only have so much time in the episode but it seems alot of the stuff was rushed especially with James Caans character.

Re: Las Vegas season 5

While I like Tom Selleck and his new character. I really despised how they got rid of Ed (James Caan). They had a perfect opportunity to have him leave....Which is what they set up last season. Where his wife asked him to retire. But, instead they do this stupid nonsese where he kills Mary's dad. Weak!

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Can't believe they already pulled off the Magnum P.I. reunion so soon.

Mike's subplot seemed like a retread, for some reason.

Gretchen reminded me of Jennie Garth.

Was the poker game a ruse to get Sam's lucky coin all along?

I got sucked into Las Vegas lately, particularly with the Magnum reunion. It was decent, but I was hoping for more involvement from the actors.

I also thought the actor playing Gretchen was Jennie Garth. Then I thought she was the girl that played the high school girlfriend on Jack and Bobby. Then I gave up and looked her up on IMDB.

I didn't like the wife-beater subplot. Mike Cannon's actions were too extreme and implausible for such a slim storyline.

I did love the comment about how their was a 3rd friend who was British. And how the other two guys professions were the same as on Magnum.

While I am still enjoying the show and like Tom Selleck. I am still annoyed about how they got rid of Caan's character. Delinda was so close to her parents. And now she is about to give birth and she doesn't even make one comment about them not being around. They don't even have to bring Caan back. They could just show her mention them or even have Cheryl Ladd make a cameo.
