Speaking of Superman: The Movie.

Was that first few lines of dialogue exchanged between Lois and the editor a lift from the first film?

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

The entire Warrior Angel comic book design looked like what you'd see from some really cheap indie publishing company. It's really strange that the show and character are owned by DC, but they couldn't come up with something a little more realistic. It's also kind of sad that Superman will owe his future design, in part, to a really crappy comic superhero.

Someone on the SHH boards brought up a good point to that scene. Either he was walking away from the hero part for now. Or the cape on the fence was a metaphor for him being on the fence...Should he stay or go be a hero?

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Symbolically, it was cool. Literally, it's kind of the start of all the Superdickery to come.

I thought he was a version of Vandal Savage.

Yes, I was talking about Dean Cain's character. I immediately thought of Savage when they started showing the pictures of him in the past.

Whoa, Helen Slater is still hot.

The episode felt a little clumsy, plus, how do you keep that government dude quiet after all that he deduced and confirmed with the use of kryptonite on Kara and Clark? Or did Lionel kill him?

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

I took it that Lionel killed him. I think Lionel would do anything to protect Clark, and now Kara.

Great episode. Opening on Krypton, pretty cool encounter between Kara and the jet. No freak of the week, and during the bonus clip, an indication that Brainiac will be back. Also, a mention of what would become Brainiac during the Lara/Kara flashback. And Clark showing the crystal to Lana. Obviously wants her help to bring you know who back.

A lot of stuff this episode. I really liked it.

Is Kim Coats slated to be in anymore eps? That would answer the question right there. Personally I think Lionel killed him, he knows way too much to be allowed to live, unless of course they make him out to be some sort of looney when he tries to tell people about Clark and Kara.

Lana is beginning to scare me, she still seems like the same Lana we knew but at the same time there is something very sinister about the way she acts and speaks, can't quite put my finger on what's different, aside from wanting to destroy Lex and Lionel that is.

How cool was it that they got Helen Slater to play Lara? Turns out there was a Kryptonian version of 'Days of Our Lives' playing out between Kara's pop, Jor-El and Lara. I also liked that Lara had been there before and now Clark has a photo of her...but will he be content with just a photo? The ending indicated not.

That one scene where Kara threw Clark back and then took off through the cieling should have ended with Clark recovering, walking to the hole she created and then him concentrating trying to fly and only getting a few inches off the ground before falling, similar to when he was floating over his bed in season one.
