Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

This is really beginning to smell like one of those programs that is overstaying it welcome... Shame on you, CW!

I am guessing that the Clark/Lex showdown in the fortress next week will set the stage for Lex's departure. This goes back to what I said three or four weeks ago about "Descent" and how I thought that Millar/Gough may have been using it as the preamble to a series (not season) finale. I wonder if whatever happens next week between Clark and Lex was to have served as the impetus for Clark to finally fulfill his destiny. Lex becomes so totally evil that there is no possible hope of redemption. Clark goes off to train. Fade to black...

They would be fools to let her leave. She is one of the best things about the show.

Welling's leaving, too. It's going to be renamed Clark Kent's Acquaintance, Jimmy Olsen.

Agreed. Though I've always felt that Allison was destined for a career in movies. Much like Nathon Fillion, from Firefly/Serenity. These are stars who deserve a breakthrough.

I've always felt bad for Nathan Fillion, he's a great actor with classic movie star good looks who always seems to find himself involved with cancelled shows, he was awesome in Firefly which is a show that i'm watching for the very first time currently.

He's one of those guys that you just look at and think, "That guy is cool." I think they should seriously tap David Conrad to play Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern movie, but Fillion would be an excellent second choice.

However he was in that unforgettable slime-fest Slither.

He was very funny in it, too lol.

I'll always remember him best as Caleb, the psychotic priest in season 7 of Buffy.

Can't they use some of the money they are saving with Kreuk and Rossenbaum and give it to Mack?

I agree about Fillion. He deserves a Big Movie career.

I wonder if Gough and Millar are just finishing their vision of "Smallville" as a series as though the CW had not extended it again. What comes next will not be "Smallville" as such. It will be someone else's take on the continuation of the Superman saga: post Smallville but pre-Superman. Next year really deserves a new name. It could be a new multi-year arc or a series of random episodes; both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Re: Smallville - Season 7 thread

i just caught this season from ep2 onward to the most recent in anticipation of the finale tonight.

i think this is the best season of the series so far. why? s1-6 had great season premiere and finales and some sweep episodes in between, but this season has been consistently changing a lot of things from the first through the last. i mean it's still a mediocre show, but there were some nifty out of this world (literally) moments like supergirl flying to space then back.

plus, she's soooooooooooooooooooooooOOOO hawt =D. and of course that makes the show at the moment. i luv how the producers know that the fans like T&A and just goes about parading sexy chix in bikinis, skimpy outfits, etc. i think that's why we all STILL WATCH IT! it's certainly not for the supes mythos .

to the edge of eternity and depth of infinity, stupidity knows no bound.
