2002 - 2003 TV Season -- A look back at what could've been..

After John Doe started airing on Scifi, I looked into the show a little bit and found that it was slotted in the 2002 season...This got me thinking and it is just ridiculous to see how many good scifi/fantasy shows were canned in that one season

Fox

John Doe
Firefly

ABC

Veritas
Miracles

All these shows had long term potential, more so than any show that is on the air today. Pretty disappointing..I don't think we're going to get a season full of shows this good for a long , long time.

Can you guys think of any other seasons like this?

I have said this before. But, I after seeing the unaired episodes for both Miracles and even Veritas. It is very sad to know they are cancelled. They were both starting to reveal some really cool story arcs and the stories themselves were very good.

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.
