Yep, the biggest karoake contest is back for 2 hours of auditions on Tuesday night on Fox.

I was a little loopy from so much "24" in so short a time span, I thought last night was Tuesday night for some reason. Initial post corrected.
I think tonight will be the Chicago audition (not sure if there's another site to be shown as well in the 2 hours for tonight).

It's been over for almost an hour and no posts? That about sums it up. A lot of people praise Fox for only doing one season a year to ensure it's not overkill, but they forget how excessive the season is the 4-5 months it airs.
The first few results shows go against Survivor and Everybody Hates Chris, so my two VCRs are taken up. Oh well.

It's only the auditions, which I haven't found to be that enjoyable anymore. There'll be a lot more discussion when it gets beyond these first several episodes.

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Last year was my first year watching, but I have to assume there was some good talent that made it through that they didn't show. It looked like they only chose a few people, and if the few they showed were all Chicago had to offer, that's a pretty damning indictment of Chicago's talent base. I think the overweight black woman had about the best voice, but we all know she isn't going to go far. The Twins were decent, but they won't go anywhere, either. If it narrows down to one of them quickly and he chooses decent songs, at best he can be a Scott Sabol (which would be fine for me). I'm looking forward to that period of time in Hollywood when they're in the closed space but before performing on the big stage in front of the frantic audience. Those were my favorite performances last year in terms of presence and sound.

We already have a ringer like Carrie from last season. That slender long haired blonde girl they show in various clips looks to be another set up somewhat like Carrie was last year. I bet on the first show she appears they will just happen to have an up close and personal backstory all shot in HD.
