About next Friday's episode. (no spoilers -- based on the preview only, but covered up for those who want to know NOTHING! )

Spoiler:
A virus has infiltrated the Galactica computers and the crew has to fight to eradicate it before it takes complete control over the ship and destroys them all.

There was an episode where the Galactica computers were networked together in order to calculate the location of the fleet (Galactica had jumped to the wrong place following an alert). One person here noticed that it looked as if the firewall WAS breached just when the network connections were severed. I checked my recording of the episode and it does appear to be the case.

Has that "mostly unnoticed" incident come back to haunt them?

I really hope (re:season finale)
Spoiler:
That if something happens to the Pegasus. The Galactica is able to add pilots and Vipers from the Pegasus. I believe this is what happened in the original series. In the original Cain knowing it was probably going to be a suicide mission and not needing fighters sent them to the Galactica.

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

The episode in two weeks is not the end of the season, just the mid-point. The second half airs starting in January.

given that the Xena spylon seemed able to coordinate a way to get footage back to the Cylons on Caprica, this suggests ability to communicate with the rest at will, so why the jumping and chasing back in 33?

That is assuming she was in the fleet at that point...

I liked this episode a lot, not sure why it seems most of you guys didn't?

Lots of character exposure, lots of detail about the interactions and procedures aboard the Galactica, and then that neat twist at the end. I can't complain at all.

The cylons can't have known where the fleet was, even with cylons aboard. Episode "33" wouldn't make sense then.
Exactly. Whatever Cylon on board that ship kept ratting them out in "33" must have had a navigational post. I doubt the vast majority of the fleet have access to the fleet's coordinates at any given time.

This was one of my technical criticisms of the most recent episode. We are TOLD but not SHOWN that the fleet reacted adversely to the news story on the "massacre."
This is because events are always seen from the point of view of the Galactica crew. It has been the case with rare exceptions since the pilot. One of those rare exceptions was the final seen on Caprica. But we've never seen the civilian population unless a member of the Galactica or Colonial One crew was directly involved on scene.

One more possible slip up that I picked up from another forum -- if the two raiders were used to transmit the documentary footage back to Caprica, and they were destroyed in the attack, then...

how did the footage viewed on Caprica contain a final cut of the documentary, including post attack scenes?

I'm going to just put that one down as a mistake by the writers and not try to come up with an explanation like the raiders were just needed to distract the fleet so they could set up a communications link for later use. Any explanation would be a reach.

Wasn't it the thing on the bridge that told the Cylons where they went?

As stated in that final scene (and pointed out above in this thread), the final cut was broadcast to the entire human fleet when it was completed. Such a broadcast could have been intercepted by the Cylons from a safe distance and relayed to Caprica. So only the footage of Sharon in the hospital, and possibly some other footage acquired before Baltar's interview, was intercepted by the two raiders.

So the Cylon raiders' primary mission was to obtain the footage that Xena-lon knew wouldn't make it into the final cut of the documentary to be broadcast to the human fleet. To get the final cut, all the Cylons had to do was to set their VCRs to record it.
