The Simpsons 4/3/05

What a great episode this was! This felt like a "golden age" episode. Maybe it was an old rejected script?

Anyway, seeing Burns, Kent Brockman and a town hall meeting in the same episode again was great. Many funny lines and a great overall story. Also a good secondary story with the cat.

I laughed until I almost cried when Homer came screeching out of his cell on the Segway. "Fly, Segway, fly!"

I got the biggest laugh out of the Oz reference with the little hat Burns gave Simpson! LOL

...And then there's the guy who saw the sign that said "Wet Floor", so he did.

The funniest gag was the newspaper that read

"GOD STEALS SUN. Mayor offers sacrifice." And there's a small picture of Quimby holding two babies.

I figured that was some reference, but I didn't know what. That hat still cracked me up. I've never watched "Oz", is that something everyone wears there, or something specific to some storyline?

"Binge and Purr"

As the owner of two cats on Science Diet Light, that one had me in hysterics.

One particular character on Oz has a shaved head, and wears a small hat --like Homer's, only not quite so exaggeratedly small! I just can't figure out how it manages to stay on his head. It just sort of sits there...
