Grey's Anatomy

Welcome to the Game

Anybody watch this one? I thought it was pretty good, Isaiah Washington was very good in the Andre Braugher Det. Pembleton type character role. If they tone down the romance and maybe the voiceovers a bit and I think it will shine.

Good lord, there's nothing worse than the foul stench of desperation when someone wants to be famous.

I thought it was okay, though cliched in spots. Not crazy about the reveal regarding Grey's mom, a bit sad.

Yeah, it was just okay for me, too. My wife seemed to enjoy it pretty well, but she is much more into medical dramas than I am. My biggest problem is that I think the lead (meredith Grey) is the least interesting character of the bunch. I guess as long as the program is called "Grey's Anatomy" she will have to be front and center, but I think this program would be better served by a true ensemble format. The highlight for me was when Catherine Heigel introduced herself as Isabel Stevens. Her Roswell character was also named Isabel, albeit Isabel Evans.

Yes, let's hope we find out that Izzy is still an alien, even on this show.

definitely get rid of the voiceover. It seemed intrusive, and reminded me of another show that happened to come on right before it.

Why would a surgical resident freeze up due to a patient having a grand mal seizure, and then subequently vomit all over the street? Have they never been in a hospital before? These aren't green rookies here, they are surgical residents. Too many cliche's here, but I am willing to give it another shot next week. Maybe they will act like Doctors soon.

I watched this only because Katherine Heigle was on. Much to my suprise, Patrick Dempsey was on it. I thought it was okay. I'm not really a fan of medical dramas, but I am willing to watch again to see if it keeps me interested.

I agree that the main character, Grey, was not all that interesting. She just didn't draw me in like the goofy guy who was hitting on her and later froze up during surgery did. I thought his character seemed to have the most interesting story so far.

All in all, it was decent, but I'll wait till next episode to decide for sure if I am sticking with it.

Actually it reminded me of a more serious Scrubs.

All together a pretty nice start though.

No, they're surgical interns. Some line at the beginning about not being in school anymore. Supposedly, this is a "seven year" internship, which I guess would actually be internship plus residency. Still pretty long, more of a hope of how many seasons they get.
