january schedule...I'm confused
Unless I'm reading wrong (which I think I am), the Sci-Fi channel website is listing both Battlestar Galactica and SG-1 to air on Fridays at 9PM.
Can you please provide info as to when the following shows will begin airing?
Battlestar Galactica
Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis
24 (It says it premieres on a sunday but will it continue to air on sundays?)
Thanks in advance.

24 has a two hour premiere on Sunday January 9th, then will air every Monday night starting the next night (January 10th). Don't know about the others.

Starting with the 2nd part of the new season:
Stargate SG-1 airs at 8/7c
Stargate Atlantis airs at 9/8c
Battlestar Galactica airs at 10/9c
then the cycle repeats starting at 11/10c
24 airs Mondays at 9/8c (House is keeping 24's old slot). The season premiere is 2 hours on Sunday (1/9) and 2 hours on Monday (1/10).

Do you mean 1 hour on Sunday and 1 hour on Monday? I thought the premiere was 2 hours, not 4.

I had read something about 24 having back-to-back 2-hour episodes so that Fox could run 22 straight weeks just in time for 24's finale to finish up at the end of sweeps in May, so I think 1/10/05's episode is 2 hours on that Monday night, but the rest of the episodes should be 1 hour in length after that.

Matt -- Here are a couple of articles with some more details. (Possible spoiler-ish info also, VERY mild IMO, but be advised.)
The gist: they're planning a straight-through run for 24, with that first Sunday/Monday 4-hour block, a 2-hour finale, and at least one 2-hour "event" somewhere in the middle. Supposedly no pre-emptions or schedule skipping.

Was there a 2-hour finale last season? Probably not, since 24 wasn't pushed into January like it is this season.

No there wasn't, Patrick. In fact, IIRC FOX has NEVER aired 2 (new) hours of 24 in one night.

Wow, this is cool! 4 hours of 24 in a two day period??
BTW, thanks for clarifying my confusion.
