I just took a picture I was going to use for a drawing referance, and just realized that this is a terriblely grainy picture.

Would upgrading to DIgital Cable get DVD like picture quality? Or should I already have it and this is just s omething that needs to be fixed by a cable operator?

My digital cable still is analog from channels 2 though 99 (or somewhere around there), so I'm not sure upgrading to digital cable will gain you anything. I upgraded to digital cable when I wanted to get the high def package with a HD DVR, and as Kevin mentioned, if I were to DVR a local channel, I would record the digital version, since the quality of recorded analog program wasn't good at all.
