New Band of Brothers Series

Hey folks,
Did you know that there is a new Band of Brothers series coming out? As a matter of fact, they start filming this summer.

It's going to be in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Check out the website:

It's not necessarily a sequel or anything. It's just a similar project from the same producers.

I know it's supposed to be based around fictional characters or at least that's what was reported at one point. Bruce McKenna is writing, he wrote some of the episodes of BoB. I'm sure where Spielberg and Hanks' name's are attached that details won't be skipped and it will be a good series, but nothing beats the original BoB series. I bought it when it first came out and watched it when it was on HBO and since I've had it two years have gone by and I think I've only had it for a month or two, all my friends have watched it. They've loved it, and each have raved it's better than Saving Private Ryan.
I can't wait to hear more on this series.

I am looking forward to this, but I still think Terrence malik should go back and re-edit The Thin Red Line as an HBO mini-series.

I think that if you took the first half hour and last half hour of Saving Private Ryan and spliced in the middle 60-90 minutes of Thin Red Line, you'd have a very good war movie.
