Without a trace 7-8, song?

On last night's episode, my wife thought that the song that played when they returned the kidnapped children to their parents was something by REM. She thought specifically that the lead singer sounded like Michael Stipe.

Can anyone confirm or deny her observation? If you didn't see the ep. last night, but may have seen it earlier, it was the one where the bad guys kidnapped a schoolbus full of children.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Wasn't it "Mad World" by Gary Jules? It's also heard on "Donnie Darko". I'm just going by memory of the season, and this was the most haunting song I remembered that was on Without A Trace.

It's a cover of the early 80's Tears For Fears song, "Mad World."
