Anyone else check out tonight's National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2?

Overall, the production was putrid, but there were a few classic "...Vacation" moments.

- Eddie sleeping with the dog and all of the fleas jumping off the dog and getting fried on the metal plate in Eddie's head.
- Dana Barron returning some of the neurosis to the character of Audrey Griswold.
- All of the shots cutting back to the water blasting through the houses window.
- Eddie introducing himself to the rich guy in just a wife beater and a speedo.
- EDDIE'S 8 OR 9 YEAR OLD SON: Um, dad, I have something to tell you.
EDDIE: Your girlfriend? Is she pregnant?
EDDIE'S SON: No! Listen, I've always thought you were sort of...
EDDIE: Gay?
- CATHERINE: Well, were alive and were together. That's worth celebrating.
UNCLE NICK: You've got pretty damn low standards.

Otherwise, it was pretty awful; far too safe, and the son - Third - was more than annoying.

I'm sorry that you watched this. I thought Vegas Vacation was bad and that had a hollywood budget. I can't believe they couldn't get Chevy Chase to do this movie, it's not as if the man is working.

Edit:
I would like to apologize to Chevy Chase, he was in fact employed this year in "The Karate Dog" as the voice of Cho-Cho.

Christmas Vacation works because it puts a spin of a lot of things that actually happen when relatives come over for Christmas, but other than the good looking woman stranded with Eddie & Co., the whole "sequel" was a waste of time! But I kept it on because there are so few shows in HD in NBC and I was wrapping presents.

And you believe, at heart, everyone's a killer...

I saw the first five minutes while flipping through the channels. Eddie had a house. Right there that was out of character. I moved along.

I agree with the first poster, overall the movie was dreadful but there were some classic vacation moments. I loved the way Eddie kept almost killing the poor British man Clark almost murdered in European Vacation ;-)

To be fair it wasn't his house. They were sponging off Audrey.

I forgot about Eric Idle's cameo; that was great, specially when he got shoved into the baggage scan.

There was no way I could bring myself to watch this. The first one makes me laugh every time I watch it and watching it with my family has become a Christmas season tradition.

I did the same thing I did for the Thanksgiving Reunion on TNT. Watched 5 minutes and couldn't stand it. Man, someone really sold out to let Vacation 2 and Thanksgiving get made. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
