The Simpsons 12/14/03

Best gag: Homer receives a Christmas gift of the first season of Magnum, P.I. on DVD! I immediately thought of HTF!

I'm just thinking about all the Star Trek fans that said "Hey, photon torpedoes don't come out of the deflector dish!"

"TV and nightmares have joined forces to teach me an important lesson."

"One problem at a time, boy."

Another well written episode.

"Double Bacon Genius Burger"

I wish I could remember the line about Scotty seing himself in the future, that was classic.

Something like, "Wait, I can see the future! Oh God, I'm so fat."

My favorite moment was when Comic Book Guy activated his cloaking device.

When The California Prunes came on I laughed my ass off!

This was the second week in a row where Homer listened to Lisa and look where it got him.

I really, really hated this one. The gags didn't connect, the CG interludes on the TV were worst than pointless and the ending of the episode seemed to mock all the genuine emotion the show had reaped in the previous seasons's holiday specials. Maybe I'm not cool enough for the show or whatever, but this episode almost came across as a betrayal to me.

I should have know the decent run of the last few episodes was going to end.
