Time Warner Cable in NYC ... What HDTV channels?

I am due to receive my HD box tomorrow from TWC here in NYC.

What channels are actually in HD? Do they have ESPN HD and DISCOVERY HD?

Anyone know of a good resource on the net for a daily HDTV Program Guide?

Thanks for the tips.

They do not have ESPN-HD or Discovery-HD yet. You can get CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, HBO, and Showtime in HD, and FOX-ED.

Josh - Not yet!! Supposedly they were adding MSG-HD, ESPN-HD, Discovery-HD and UPN-HD in May.

Last time I checked, there's only 9 days left in May and we have yet to see these in HD!!!

Very frustrated as I would love to see Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN-HD!!!

As for Knicks & Ranger games, not even HD can make those teams look good

I had called Time Warner a few times back in March and April (when ESPN HD was close) and each person I spoke to gave me the "We are planning on adding these HD channels in May" answer. Granted at the time, I took that with the hopes in mind that by July 4th we might get one of those channels!!

TWC in NYC can be very, very frustrating (as anyone who lives here knows. . .)

Allan - did you hear something different?

Pete-
I had not heard anyhthing. I had emailed TWC right around the time ESPN-HD came out and got some stock reply to the effect of nothing had been specifically planned, but they were looking into various HD channels.

Pete-

So if TWC in NYC is not broadcasting Ranger games (and Knick games, I guess.... but I only pay for the Center Ice package to suffer through Ranger games), then who is getting all those games, as Sam would say, brought to you in High Definition by Panasonic? Is it another example of those weasels, the Dolans, keeping it all to themselves?

That is so true

I still hope that they get Discovery HD and ESPN HD, so far after 1 day of having the HD box, it looks phenomenal!!!
