1973-74 was a great time in our household.
We got our first color television set, putting an
end to our reign as the last remaining family in town
to get one.
It was a Magnavox, and had its own rolling cart.
It is hard to imagine the days of being excited about
that, but...it was pretty damned great.
No remote control, though...that was a whole tv set later.
The rest of the year?
I was a very bored eight year old, in Mrs. Nolan's third grade class, looking forward to seeing what my Saturday cartoons looked like in living color.

Our first TV remote came about this time. It was actually from our local cable system and was a wired remote (really just a channel selector) which consisted of a box about the size of a license plate but about an inch tall with a sliding control that ran along a front edge of the remote. Very high tech!
There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Inca Gold, Parker, wipes you right out *cough* *cough* [looks around] "everythings so greeeen!".
Taking she-who-must-be-obeyed to the flicks tonight, 28 days later, no thats the name of the film, its a horror film by Brit director Danny Boyle, had some good reviews. The girl wants to see something really scary, and sadly I'm not scary enough for her anymore [sobs], I'm looking forward to hearing her scream and whimper in the cinema, and thats before the film starts [bwahaha *cough* *cough* muh muh].

I'm about ready to do my assessment of 1975 if anyone's interested.
As for Mexican, these days everybody prefers California-originated product. And Washingtonian. And Canadian. Or so I'm told...

Jack I'm interested.
I say 1975 was a spliffing good year wasn't it? Or am I going potty?
After Cinema Report: Sandra is ok, she has calmed down, she screamed, she covered her eyes as usual, the film was a bit too intense for her, well thats what she wanted wasn't it? She squirmed at sudden bursts of violence and disease ridden humans attacking and tearing flesh, it was not a pleasant film, but it was extremely well made, I liked it.
A British version of Resident Evil, which had basically the same premise.
