Re: Testy Area 51
Silverfinger Steve?
Gah! [slaps forehead] I'm behind with reading Testy reviews. I see you didn't like shakycam-Godzilla much err I mean Cloverfield.
There really should be a Testy review thread for easy access. Kinda like the "Track the movies you watch that nobody else is interested in" thread in MOVIES. How bout it Steve? Steve? Steve?!
eh, he buggered off I guess.

Re: Testy Area 51
Have you tried that 'search this thread' thingy near the top of the page Jim? Might not get you instantly to the post you want but it's handy, I don't think the title Untraceable was mentioned much in previous pages so that review should be easy to find. But finding my review of Next might be a bitch though [snorts].

Re: Testy Area 51
Search function eh? That makes sense I guess.
So I'm going through the Summer movie guide and I stumble across this.
Aug 29 BABYLON A.D.
With: Vin Diesel, Michelle Yeoh, Melanie Thierry ...
Director: Mathieu Kassovitz
Synopsis:
Quote:
|
Veteran-turned-mercenary Thoorop takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to China. Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah.
|
Huh?
I know the studio's were grooming Vinnie to be the next AHHHnold but I swear he's turned into the next Chuck Norris.
[Waits for Rick to comment on Chuck's tight buttocks]

Re: Testy Area 51
So Vin Diesel's back where the action is eh? Vin was on the verge of superstardom but somehow he fumbled the ball.
The great Chuck Norris, how many action stars can claim to have fought Bruce Lee and David Carradine on film [cue gasps] yep, though not at the same time of course. Carradine was given the part that Bruce Lee was hoping to play, Kwai Chang Caine in the 70's tv series Kung Fu. Angry, Bruce Lee went to Hong Kong, became a superstar, global martial arts icon and after his death at 32, a legend.
Chuck vs Bruce in Way of the Dragon aka Return of the Dragon.

Re: Testy Area 51
I'd rather see Vin Diesel do dramatic roles -- he was good at that in "Boiler Room" and "Find Me Guilty".
I saw Van Sant's "Paranoid Park" today. OK, enough with the long, lingering shots on young boys and girls and the moody atmosphere -- strip that away and you have a snoozer of a film with amateurish acting. Nobody bothered to hush the guy who was snoring in the back row.

Nope. My movie for tonight is Resident Evil 3. I wanna see if it sucks as bad as 2. I saw a preview tonight on Apple for Strpper Zombie, it has steve's favorite porno actress jenna jamison. Yep, looks like it was cut from that Grindhouse cloth. I never heard of it...comes out soon. I am sure it will "blow".

Re: Testy Area 51
RE3 stars Jenna? Hmm.........
I've never seen Boiler Room or Find Me Guilty Elizabeth, most of the newer movies I see has to have a massive marketing budget to grab my short attention span.
Chuck Norris is a god Steve! If we were all like Chuck the world would be a better place.
Last nights movie was an old favorite of mine probably seen it 50 times over the years. The latest was via Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-ray.
Still flipping through the 2008 movie guide ..........and what is this?! Klaatu barada nikto! A remake of Day the Earth Stood Still starring Keanu as Klaatu whaaaaa? . I see it also has Jennifer Connelly [hubba, hubba], the always enjoyable John Cleese and Kathy Bates as Gort
Is nothing sacred? I think Hollywood has pretty much tapped out remaking 50's/60's sci-fi classics, what's left to remake?
The Thing From Another World? nope, done
The Fly? done
Planet of the Apes? done
The Time Machine? done
Invasion of the Body Snatchers? done about a half dozen times
Village of the Damned? done
Godzilla? done
War of the Worlds? done
Creature From the Black Lagoon? in the works
When Worlds Collide? coming soon
Earth vs. the Flying Saucers? done
The Incredible Shrinking Man? in the works
Journey to the Center of the Earth? coming soon
It! The Terror Beyond Space? done
What next? Barbarella?! Zardozzzzz?!! | |
