Actually, she might lean more with Steve, I'm finding that I'm pretty much one of the only people to think it's one of the best films of last year. :S

Well, I remember reading "The Mist" many years ago but I can't remember how it ended. Don't know if the movie follows that or not, anyway!

Oh, BTW, I watched John Cameron Mitchell's "Shortbus" last night. After a somewhat "WTF!?!?" opening scene, I rather enjoyed it. I thought the James/Jimmy couple was really sweet. The peeping tom character and his occupation (mostly expanded on in the deleted scenes) was kind of a head scratcher, though.

Sorry to disappoint you Rick, but no G-flick on my B-day.
Instead my annual B-day film/movie was......
Otherwise a business as usual day for me. Trip to the dentist, grocery shopping, take cat to the vet, lay on couch and watch TV. Nothing special.
Not bad for someone who turned........ 44

My NetFlix "The Mist" arrived today, so just perfect to watch it this Prince Kuhio Day holiday!
I really liked the movie -- very well cast and didn't go over the gruesomeness line for me. I don't recall seeing Thomas Jane give such a good performance before, and Marcia Gay Harden has that self-righteous speechifying down pat.
As for the much-debated ending -- I thought it was PERFECT. |
