Re: Test

Yes, I have your address! But.... it's not on TomTom's map.

Difficult area: I was on East Lake Hazel Road, so driving west I found W Lake Hazel Rd, but it appeared to be wrong: turn back on W Lake Hazel Rd, onto E Lake Hazel Rd, then further east, past W Medalist Drive - hey there's a W Lake Hazel Road again! Here's an East between two Wests, so constantly the twain shall meet.

OK, immediate left turn into S Cloverdale Rd, stop after approx. 500 meters (that's just over 1500 ft), halfway to W La Grange Street. I stopped at S Cloverdale Rd 5763.

Looking left: there's a new neighbourhood TomTom refuses to lead me into. But wait! What is that? It's... could it be? Yes, yes, it's a cat, looking awfully like, like ... Fluffy!?!

Alright, I'm convinced I'm as close to you, Dennis, as TomTom will currently lead me.

THIS picture, of course!

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Wow! That picture doesn't want to show up.

Let's try THIS one...which is also NOT a picture of my Dad!

Yes, that's exactly the location I was looking at, from my position on S Cloverdale Rd.

Until that other street starting with "West M" shows up in TomTom's maps, Cloverdale is were I have to stay.
I'll mark it down as "Dennis Nicholls, approx.".

Mike,

If that's not your father either, it must be exactly the same picture as the one that didn't show up.

So, I'm glad I have found the two of you pretty exactly: I can have TT plot a way to your houses from anywhere now.

Ho!

Where's Parker?

I just received an e-mail from Amazon Germany that the price of the Complete Beethoven (60 discs) went down substantially. Almost with €12 = $15.52! It's now just under €35.
(And the release delayed. )

Re: Test

Somehow that Beethoven set is only offered by German stores...

I Googled "Sony B000NDEMAI" and got several pages of web stores offering the set, all in Germany. I wonder if I should just go ahead and order it now, or wait until closer to the release date? By the way, the Amazon.de site didn't show an updated release date.

Current price is $46.56 US. Man is that cheap.

Re: Test

If you believe it might still get cheaper on Amazon, you won't have to delay your order for that, because they adjust the price if it goes down.

If you believe you could grab it cheaper somewhere else later - then you must wait.

I can only tell you that I ordered it.

Re: Test

I'm holding off because I want to post over at the "Music" forum and want to start the thread off with ordering information for people here in the states.

I wonder if there are any legal restrictions (e.g. copyright) for offering this set for sale in places other than Germany?

Re: Test

Uhm, I'm not sure. I guess you can sell anything you buy on Amazon on eBay a day later. At least it happens, although I'm not certain about the legality.

Note however, that you cannot legally sell it back to Europe without *some* complications involving the VAT.
If you buy it and have it sent to an address in Europe directly, VAT will stay in effect.

[ Slightly different subject ]
In fact, mentioning VAT, I think you will even pay less once you tell the system to send it to the US, because that price INCLUDES 19% VAT (sic!), and my understanding is that they will automatically deduct that amount (you should try this by "almost" ordering one and see what happens and how much shipping is).
