Well I finally got my center brake light hooked up for my camper shell, avoiding thereby any "fix-it" tickets. California fix-it tickets are not free....
I've been working feverishly preparing the house for sale. A week ago Monday I installed a new side-door in my garage, pulling out the tattered wood door and replacing it with a solid-core steel-clad pre-hung door. Much more satisfactory.
Tuesday and Wednesday I chased down materials for a new 60' fence between me and my neighbor behind. Thursday I tore down the old fence and stacked it neatly in my truck....the local dump charges on volume, not weight. Friday I set the posts in the existing steel frames (sunk in concrete) and also took the old fence down to the dump. Saturday I topped the posts and built up the stringers. Sunday I nailed up all the fence boards with my pneumatic nailer.
Mike, isn't there some story about you taking a very long time putting up a new fence?
I got a new 19" LCD computer monitor today....moving a CRT to Boise appeared to be a waste of effort. So my version of a CRT entlosung has enabled my household to be CRT free. The LCD monitors have really come down in price. I selected a Hyundai for $299. Five years ago a CRT monitor of that size would have cost more.

No. Not erecting it...but painting it. And the painting finally got done this summer! By my 15-year old son!
Isn't it amazing the amount of work we'll put into a home just before we're going to move out of it?!

I'm looking for text for my valedectorian email as I move from San Jose to Boise.
Quote:
If you miss the train I'm on, you will know that I am gone, you can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.
A hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles, you can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.
Lord, I'm one, Lord, I'm two, Lord, I'm three, Lord, I'm four, Lord, I'm five hundred miles a way from home.
Away from home, away from home, away from home, away from home, Lord, I'm five hundred miles away from home.
Not a shirt on my back, not a penny to my name. Lord, I can't go back home this-a way.
This-a way, this-a way, this-a way, this-a way, Lord, I can't go back home this-a way. (Interlude, repeat first verse)
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.

It looks better once you get away from the Oregon/Nevada/Utah borders.
