Main System
* Von Schweikert VR-2000 (mains)
* Von Schweikert LCR-20 (center)
* Von Schweikert TS-200 (surround)

It's good to see someone else who enjoys the beauty of VonSchweikert

My old prime system, which is now with my folks (after we moved, trying to re-assemble something for myself soon)

* Von Schweikert VR-4 Gen 2 (mains)
* Von Schweikert LCR-21 Center
* Von Schweikert TS210 rears

I am seriously looking at the VR4 Gen 3s for the start of my new home theater here

Hi guys!
this is my first post. here goes....
main: b&w dm 610
center: optimus pro x44
surrounds: optimus pro x44
sub: paradigm ps-1000

as you can see my mains are alot better than the center and surrounds but im on a strict budget. the pro x44 s arent too terrible though they can be a little strident. anyways i will upgrade as i go along. please excuse the lack of punctuation marks but i have a french canadian keyboard that is very idiosyncratic.

I\'m so bored with the U.S.A.

I use motion picture theater speakers. L&R are Altec 825 basshorn-reflex cabinets with 515B 15" drivers, top ends are Altec 806 compression drivers on 511B horns: A-5 bottoms with A-7-500 top ends. Sometimes I substitute JBL 2420 drivers on Edgar wooden "saladbowl" horns for the 806-511s. Bass below 100 cycles is augmented with 2 JBL 4648 double 15" motion picture theater bassbins for a total of 6-15" woofers reproducing the range below 100 cycles. System efficiency is 106db 1w1m. No center speaker, used to use an Altec 605A DuPlexe studio monitor (a "real" monitor that uses a 15" woofer with a piggy-back compression driver and a horn that extends through the woofer pole piece) but didn't need it. Rears are Radio Shack jobs, those little guys with a 5" woofer and film tweeters. I was using JBL 4560 basshorns with JBL LE-175 drivers on JBL horn-lenses in the rear but a total of 80 cubic feet of speakers was taking too much room. :-)
