Recently upgraded a lot. My modest setup includes:

Mains: Boston Acoustics CR8
Center: Polk CS245i
Surrounds: Boston Acoustics CR65
Sub: SVS 25-31 PCi

I am very pleased with this setup. Big bookshelf speakers with an SVS is a match made in heaven.

Front Center, Mains, Rears, Rear Center: Merak Loudspeakers. 2 sets MB4CR

Subwoofer: Merak Loudspeakers MS8

For Music: 2 Technics SB-2822

Merak Loudspeakers is a company out of Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. They are a division of Axiom Audio.

I"m not a very hardcore HT enthusiast, but I do love to have great sound, even though my budget is limited.

Definitive Technology

BP10 fronts,
CLR1000 center
BP8B sides
BP1 rears
C1 center rear

Subs: SVS 20-39PC with the new driver
SVS 20-39PCI
Cambridge Soundworks Powered Sub

After spending some time with Lucius Morris at Dynamic Sound in Washington, D.C., eventually I'm going to upgrade to VMPS. Looking RM2 fronts, LRC center, not sure about sides and rears. The RM40 was really amazing. Anybody in the area should give him a call and go by for an appointment. It can open ears. Plus, he's a cool guy.

An upcoming episode has not yet been scheduled. Please check back later.

My modest setup (upgraded from Kenwood HTB-504)

receiver: VR-507
Fronts, Surrounds, Center: Michaura M55 (from ubid)
Sub: Sony SA-WM40 (to be polyfilled)

I am extremely happy with this for my apt and do not see the need to upgrade. The Michaura speakers are the deal of the century IMO. I will only upgrade if the differences are really really big for a really small price
