Question concerning subwoofer setup

I have a Onkyo 805. I also have 2 svs pb12/2 in a room that is about 1150 cubic vollume. Trust me that kind of bass gets intense in that size room. Anyway I used the receivers audessy to set up my speakers. after it was done I checked the audessy's speaker settings against my sound meter. And they are all on 75db. Now the question. My svs subwoofer manual says that your receivers subwoofer speaker settings should not be below -5 and mine are -13. heck it can only go to -15. And when I ran Audessy they tell you to turn the subs 1/4 of the way up. And my Onkyo still set them at -13. If I manually put the LFE at -5 from -13 I am afraid some bones in my body might break. Ha ha. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Question concerning subwoofer setup

It's not a huge deal, but you can always just turn the volume control on the subs down a bit and run Audyssey again. The result should be a higher setting on the sub out. This is all probably just because you have so much potential sub energy in such a small room, so it is dialed back.

They flutter behind you, your possible pasts.
