Turning volume down on subwoofer

Ok i have this Sony STR-K790 surround sound system, im new here so they wont let me post an URL to show a picture

I have lost my user's guide and i think i found a similar one online

My question is, i wanna turn the subwoofer volume down, but on the users guide it only talks about adjusting the level and the tone, i have tried messing with both butit doesnt seem to do anything, does anyone know how to do this? thx in advance.
