Do you recommend Klipsch THX Speakers ?
As I have previously mentioned I am looking for fronts, center, and rear speakers as I have already purchased my subs. As I don't have the opportunity to demo most speakers I am relying on reviews and all of your opinions. As I will be building a home theater room, I wanted some ideas on speakers systems.
I recently stubled on the Klipsch THX system. I would be interesting in the fronts, center, and maybe the surrounds but undecided. I would have to look for deals to afford these things.
What do you guys think of these? Anything I should be looking at instead?

I would really test speakers out before you buy them. You have no absolute way of trying some out?

Re: Do you recommend Klipsch THX Speakers ?
The link you provided shows the system has an MSRP of $10,750....
That's some serious $$$ to be plunking down on speakers you cannot listen too. You should be able to audition them and find out if you like them. All of the reviews from that site look promising, but then again who would put negative reviews on their site when they are trying to sell you something...
It looks like all of the 3rd party reviews have these rated very high as well
You might want to change your post, to ask if anyone actually has these, and what they think of them....
Also, you might want to include what kind of budget you are looking at using. Perhaps there is something similar within your budget, or perhaps some system that would match up for less $$$$ (like, not having to pay for the THX certification....)

Re: Do you recommend Klipsch THX Speakers ?
I have a set of Klipsch Pro Media speakers (4.1) that I have used on my computer for years. People are always impressed when they hear them. I'm not sure how they compare to the home products, but these are good enough for me to probably buy a setup from Klipsch sight unseen.

Re: Do you recommend Klipsch THX Speakers ?
I was in Best Buy the other day and walked past a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers listed at $500. The salesman walked up and played the speakers for me. I don't consider myself a person who is good at judging speakers, but man did they sound bad. I have heard that they sound quite bright due to the horn tweeter, but I think it is because there is no bass at all; not even mid-bass. The more it was turned up the loader the high end got. I had to touch the woofer to make sure that it was connected, but it was moving like mad, just no sound was coming from the box.
Unless I just looked at Klipsch's one bad model, I think I will shy away from those THX speakers.

Please tell me you're kidding. At the beginning of this thread you were considering a 7.2 set of speakers that has an MSRP of $10,750. But now you want to write those off due to your experience in BestBuy listening to Klipsch's bottom-of-the-line speakers? You stated a $500 price on those speakers which I would assume is the Synergy line (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....1091101345658). At the very least go listen to something from the Reference Series before making your decision, but that THX package is a step above the Reference series.
And please don't get me wrong, I'm not a Klipsch fanboy or anything. I think you should look at several other offerings in that higher-end price range such as B&W, Paradigm, DefTech, Martin Logan, etc. Just don't write-off any brand until you actually listen to the exact speakers you're considering.
EDIT: I just looked back at that BestBuy link and noticed that the price listed was for the pair (they used to list everything by individual speaker). So perhaps you did listen the Reference line. Either way though, it's not a fair comparison to that THX setup they have.

Re: Do you recommend Klipsch THX Speakers ?
Ok thanks guys. That's good to know that I just listened to a lower-end model that is not even in the same league.
I was just under the assumption (as B&W told me) speaker manufactures use their R&D from their high end speakers to help optimize their low end speakers, although the low-end speakers will have less-quality parts. By this they say you can judge a product line from any make or model.
I guess in some cases, companies save the R&D for only the best and do not concentrate on the lower-end models. I was just comparing those $500 Klipsch speakers to the $500 paradigms, Focal, and B&W that I heard.
