Just got a Klipsch Synergy 10" Sub. WOW!

Just got home with it last night. OMG! This thing is unbelievable! Couldn't be more pleased with it. I highly recommend this sub to anyone interested in getting a powered sub. Really, guys. The thing is incredible.

Re: Just got a Klipsch Synergy 10" Sub. WOW!

Sam: What were you using before? No sub, a passive sub, a different powered-sub?

How much did you pick the Klipsch up for? (If you don't mind me asking... )

EDIT** Sam: I'd also be interested in know about the rest of your set-up (other speakers, etc.)

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Well, my previous subwoofer is the little powered Sony subwoofer that came with my 5 year old receiver. I'm guessing it's a 6 inch sub, but I'm not sure. The receiver is the old STR-K502P (I think I got the model number right) 100watts by 5 channels and a subwoofer output. 5.1 Digital Surround.

My setup:

65" Mitsubishi DLP that just came in 2 weeks ago.
Samsung 1080p upconvert DVD player.
DirecTV HD-DVR.
The 5 small speakers that came with the Sony 5 years ago.
Klipsch KSW-10 powered sub ($359 at Best Buy)

The DVD player and the DirecTV receiver are both connected to the Sony receiver via optical digital audio cables and to the TV via HDMI. The TV's outputs are not in use.

Cool.

What kind of paces have you been putting it through?!

Can you spell out any differences you've heard? What makes you go, "wow!"?

I'm considering a budget sub upgrade myself and am curious about how much of a boost to expect. Plus, I get to live vicariously through others such as you until I do!
