Kinda Upset with the shipping Co. SVS uses!

We'll guys I'm kinda upset at the shipping Company that SVS used. My sub "PB12-Plus/2"was sent out on Tuesday from SVS. I just got off the phone with BAX Global and this guy Mike said that the package will be in St. Louis Mo. early tomorrow but my sub is not scheduled to be delivered to my house "60 miles east of St. Louis" until Wednesday of next week.. I was kinda hoping to get this thing by the weekend so I could do some testing.. this sux! Rule of thumb never use BAX GLOBAL FOR A SPEEDY DELIVERY.

Sorry to hear that Shannon. I guess it all depends on how close you live to their distribution centers. I've had three subs delivered by BAX - all very timely. YMMV I suppose...

Re: Kinda Upset with the shipping Co. SVS uses!

I have to agree with Mike here. My sub was shipped on Monday and it was in Charleston, SC Wednesday evening. I had it delivered this morning (Thursday). I was actually surprised at how quickly it got here... and by just how huge the thing is. The pictures don't give any indication of it's physical size and to be honest numbers on a page for dimensions have very little meaning to me.

I'm sorry to hear about you having to wait, but I think it will be worth the wait. I'm kinda trapped here waiting for UPS to deliver the sound meter and cal disk since I forgot to order those at the same time. I need to go buy a cable to hook up the sub...so no testing it out just yet.

I ordered my SVS on Sunday night and it was in my house that Wednesday from UPS. If you have the time to drive, is there any way you could call BAX and pick it up in St.Louis? That way you could have it for the 3 day weekend.

Re: Kinda Upset with the shipping Co. SVS uses!

OK guys yesterday I called Bax after I seen that my package was out for delivery. <--- to my surprise! Well I told myself that I would recant everything I said bad about Bax once I got home and seen my package sitting at my house.

Well I get home from work last night "Around 10:30 p.m." and guess what NO PACKAGE! so i still keep my cool and think well it will be here in the morning. so I get up this morning around 10:30. and check the web site "hoping to see it say'n (out of delivery)" . WRONG it says it went out for delivery yesterday and was returned last night and that the end of that.

So after seeing this I immediately call Bax in St. Louis and this guy tells me that he found my package in the security cage it was never put on the truck today for delivery. "I immediately start to get P.O'd. but i still keep my cool." Then this guy tells me "well sir you have two options, option 1 is you drive 60 miles to St.Louis plus another 15-20 mile into STL to get my package that I already paid $100 to be delivered, option two just wait till Tuesday and it will be deliver then. at this point I'm fuming and all i can say it "well i guess Tuesday it is and hung up on this guy..

I being a person that works for a distribution center in So. Illinois I know how this stuff works. So I call the Corporate office and talk to this Lady supervisor "Pamala" and I tell her the problem that I'm having and I specifically tell her that I leave for work by 1:30 in the afternoon. Se then tells me that there is no way they can get my package to me by that time and with out a Signature "For insurance reasons, which I under stand" they will not deliver my package. But what kills me is that this Lady out of the St. Louis distribution center "Amanda, I think that was her name." Said they would deliver it with out a Signature on Thursday. So after I tell her this She more less tells me that they will not ship this item back out until they hear from me say'n that someone will be there to sign for this package.. So I tell pamala that they might as well send it back because she is telling me that they can't own up to their shipping agreement. At that time she starts to rant, I cut her off and tell her that "I should have asked for SVS to use UPS,FEDEX, or hell even DHL at least then my package would have already been here" that makes her even that more upset and about the time she starts to retort I say "good by" and hang up the phone and called SVS to let them know whats going on

Now I have no sub more then likely it will be sent back I'm out $100 buck for shipping on something that I never received and if that happens I don't know what I will do. I guess I'll have to call my Credit card Co. and refuse the charges for goods I never received. I realize that SVS paid $110 to get it here and i only paid $100 and their out $10 but now Bax is telling me that I'm going to have to pay an extra "how every much" to get a Special delivery truck to get me my sub by 1:30 so I can Sign for it. Why? because they cant put my package first on the rout instead of last..

This is not the complete story just the cut down version because I'm still seeing RED! <--- LoL

Sorry for the rant guys but I still say BAX GLOBAL SUX!

Sorry for the rant guys

Hey, we all need to vent.
I got my SVS sub, Yamaha receiver and HD70 projector. Set it all up and have a ground loop issue. Today I am sending the projector back for another. It will probably be a week at the earliest before I am set up again. So, I have my new SVS, but I still can't have fun with it because of no projector.

And this is one of the reasons I pay extra money and buy everything from a local dealer...

Yamaha RX-V659
Paradigm Studio 40 V.4 up front
Paradigm Studio CC-570

Is there an SVS 'local' dealer?

Shannon- I feel your pain.

I'm surprised with the appreciation of the importance of good customer support these days, at the treatment you're getting.

Too late for this weekend now, but I'd see what SVS has to say. And then I might have tried to talk to that lady's manager. Keep pushing it up the management chain until you *do* get satisfaction.

I's also report BAX to the BBB.

If it's not worth waiting until the last minute to do, then it's not worth doing.
