Any suggestions?

I have 2 Klipsch synergy bookshelves and was going to buy the F3 Klipsch's. At $800, I was looking for some suggestions that could give me a little more for my money. I would just like the best for around $800 or maybe less. If I'm understanding correctly, it is okay to mix speakers as long as all the fronts are the same, so does anyone have any suggestions for my L/C/R speakers? I will be putting the bookshelves in the back.

Also I need some help on which particular sub i should get. I've heard so much about SVS and HSU i don't know which way i should go. Or should i look for something other than those 2 brands?

I would like to keep the L/C/R and sub around the price of $1200-$1500. Any suggestions will be grealy appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Any suggestions?

Do you like the sound of Klipsch? If so, then stick with bookshelves, but move to the Reference series for your front soundstage.

Options under $1500:

RB61 (Pair) = $450
RC62 = $450
SVS PB10 = $430

RB51 (Pair) = $350
RC52 = $300
SVS PB12-NSD = $600 or Hsu VTF3 = $699

There are two differences between these setups. The first has front speakers with 6.5" drivers which provide lower extension. The second has speakers with 5.25" speakers, but allows you to purchase a better subwoofer.

Re: Any suggestions?

Seth, thanks a lot that should be very helpful info.

Yeah, I do like the sound of my Klipsch, but then again those are pretty much the only speakers I've heard bc I'm so new to HT. Should I get these bookshelves over some kind of floorstanding speaker?
