Re: Can Someone Help Me Tell The Difference?

Well, first things first . . . they are both Klipsch. The SS-1 is a member of the Synergy Series (entry level) while the RS-10 is the low-end of the Reference Series which is a step up from the Synergy series.

If your other speakers fit into either of those series you should probably stick with your series. Otherwise they are probably very similar. I would assume the RS-10 would have slightly better components, but its frequency response isn't as good. Only going down to 82Hz will probably be OK, but if you're planning to do lots of multi-channel music its certainly not ideal.

Bottom line: stick with either the Synergy series or the Reference series . . .so whatever you have up front, go with that.
