New front speakers and Sub

Hello
I have been upgrading my system for the last few months. I currently have. Denon AVR 3806 Sony HSB-60 and Boston acoustics VRMX. I'm looking for the L-R-C-Sw that are not more than 1500 Dollars total. I want my speakers to sound good but they must also look good. Looking for cherry finish speakers, the klipsch are good speakers but i'm not to happy with their subwoofer and the one they offer in cherry finish is way to expensive. The velodyne 5000 sound really good but is only in a dark wood. Do anybody know a good manufacture that offers both decent speakers and good subwoofer in a glossy cherry finish?

Thanks

Alonso

Hi Alonso

If I were you I would get the HTD Level 3 Towers for the front L&R and their Level 3 Center Channel speaker and the Level 3 subwoofer in dark cherry or light cherry...they would run you about $1050 plus shipping.

www.htd.com

please click on cabinet speakers at the top left of the page. please keep in touch

Hi AG

With all due respect... I don't work for HDT, or HSU or AV123, or Denon, or Nakamichi, or KEF, or Boston Acoustics, or Sony, or Klipsch, or Toshiba, or Consumer Reports, or Kenwood, or SVS, or Cerwin Vega, or Pioneer, or JBL, or Panasonic.

But I wish I worked for HTD. I am a clinical consultant. I will be watching the Superbowl on my 65 inch HD display and listening to the audio on my 64 pound Denon 5803A and my pair of HSU VTF-3HOs plus Turbos, and a lot of other associated equipment...are you aware that HTD is part of the HTF Marketplace? For now, I am just going to have to suffer along with my office system using Nakamichi amplification and an SVS 20-39PCi.

Thanks for contributing to this post.

Sorry I have to ask how the HTD speakers are. I kinda like flat panel ones. The price kinda scares me. Are these speakers as cheap as the cost? would the flat panel speakers work as fronts and surrounds?? and can they be set vertical on stands?

Hi Armand

The design of the HTD Level 3 Tower is better in several respects than most of the competition...I would buy them myself if I needed any more speakers...the drivers and design contribute almost all of the sound quality...top notch cabinets and will cost you even more...if you really want speakers that are built a little bit better, check out AV123. Really fine cabinets in a genuine wood finish with even better driver quality will run you another $500-$700. Please check out AV123 for some beautiful rosewood speakers...they have some B-Stock speakers at a reduced price that are just beautiful. Please keep in touch.
