Is this a decent Athena upgrade?

I have a couple Athena B1's as my mains now, and am thinking about moving them to the rear to replace my S.5 surrounds and getting F1.2's for my mains.

My current sub handles my bass fine, will this be much of an upgrade as far as my mains are concerned?

Is more bass the only difference between the B1's and the F1.2's?

Re: Is this a decent Athena upgrade?

Clay-

Currently I own the Athena AS-F2.2's as my mains, but have audutioned the entire line. The F-1 will give you higher power handling and deeper bass over the B-1. Also, the F-1 is a little more efficient so it means it will be a little louder and full sounding with the same amount of power than your B-1s. One of the thing that Athena prides themselves on is the fact that all their tweeters are matched throughout their audition and point 5 lines- so you should not notice any different in anything other than the improved midrange/bass.

Hope it helps
