Re: Can a good HT hurt a dog's ears?

Good heavens above mate, what are you doing to that poor dog of yours, I have some ear plugs that I can send to you and you can stick them in the dogs ears!
This has got to the craziest post I’ve seen here, I thought I would have come up with a nutty post like this, my complements to you sir!
Playing anything above “85dbA” for long periods will bugger your ears up!, Low frequency sounds if carefully used and balanced into the home cinema sound system to complement the soundtrack, and should never “overwhelm” it, do you own a SPL db meter?
Did you know the US navy has tested LFA “low frequency Active Sonar” on navy divers, now at 160db! You will be f*&ked up for the rest of your life so, use caution with sound, sound can KILL! The US navy can output this LFA to unheard 240db! Who has ever heard 240db!
Cinema sound is a different kittle of fish, the soundtracks of today rarely meet the high demands posed on the smaller home cinema loudspeakers, where more HF is delivered over the three-screen and surrounds as well. A little EQ applied to give it a flatter response within the room helps and a few absorbent panels.
