Magnepan speakers

Has anybody had any problems with these speakers as far as overdriving them and amplifiers cutting out or anything similar. We have a Emotiva DMC-1 / MPC-1 combo driving them and the center channel will drop out at high volume and the L&R will also drop out every once in a while. Any help would be great, this is my first time with either of these products.

Re: Magnepan speakers

I posted a reply to your question over on avs.

The mpc-1 should have plenty of juice for the Maggies.Have you double checked your connections to make sure they are solid? If not that,it sounds like it might be an amp problem.Do you have any other speakers you might connect to the amp to check this ?
