Help me choose my first HTS, $ 1100 budget

I live in Lima Perú we don't have many options as you guys, please help me choose a good set of speakers, receiver and subwoofer, my budget is US$ 1100.

This is what I've found so far and will take the plunge prolly today after work.

Speakers (US$ 330)
Infinity Primus Home Theater Pack
They come with: 4 Primus 140 and 1 primus C25 central speaker

Subwoofer (US$ 300)
JBL E150P (150w)

A/V Receiver (US$ 390)
Denon 1706 (75w x 7.1)

It's going be in my living room 3.5 x 4mt, primarily used on movies and music, I'm looking for a sleek look since I don't have much room.

Here in Perú we have all line of Bose, JBL, Denon, Infinity and Pioneer, so if you could suggest another HT system with smaller sats that sound better than these and are available in my country please help me decide.

I've got Primus 360's (Mains), C25 (center), 160's (Side Surrounds) and 150's (Rear Surrounds) in a 7.1 setup.

I love em'!

The c25 holds up great along side the big 360's so if you upgrade in the future you are set at the center position.

I had looked at the 140's before getting my 160's i deciced to go a little bigger for more range and because of a couple good magizine reviews of the 160's.

the 140 sound pretty darn good, I need to hear the 150s first but I they are just bigger and that will break all harmony in the room

You should be ok.

I used to have my 160's and 150's hooked up to an old Onkyo TX-DS484 5.1 (55 Watts per ch.) and it powered them well.

If you plan on getting bigger speakers down the road the extra power might come in handy.

Sounds good, but that price seems high for that subwoofer. I guess it could be due to the different country, but here in the US you can get the E250P for significantly less than $300.

mmmm interesting well here in peru everything is a lot more expensive than US, however I'm impressed the receiver and speakers are almost the same as in US.

So my choice is good will you guys suggest to jump into the primus 150s?

A new 30GB iPod cost US$ 510

Id say go with the 150's if you have a little extra cash to spend they have better range. Even in Peru they can't be THAT much more lol.
