Paradigm questions
I was just curious about paradigm speakers. Does anyone know how the paradigm heirarchy works?
I know signature is on the top end and titans are at the bottom end. Can anyone break it down for me listing off the series of speakers in decending order of quality. Im trying to determine where my monitors sit.

Check out paradigm's website at:
http://www.paradigm.com
It will explain their whole heirarchy. This forum is great to learn alot about speakers and home theater in general and not be at the mercy of salesmen. Sorry if you overpaid, but on the bright side Paradigm speakers and the Monitor series are highly regarded here.

Where did you buy your Paradigm's from?
If its Audio Ark, I don't think you would have got ripped off except its always best to wait around until they have a sale. Keep in mind, when checking places that sell online, they are usually ALWAYS cheaper then a brick and mortor store but sometimes are not a authorized dealer, so if you have problems your SOL.

Hey Rob:
Yeah if you bought your gear at Audio Ark you didn't get a bad deal. The best times to buy from them are June and January when they have their 20% off everything sale.
Monitors are in the middle of Paradigms offerings. They are a great speaker for the money especially here in Canada. I own a monitor set up that I bought from Audio Ark, let me know if you have any specific questions.

Monitors are in the middle of the Paradigm scheme of things. They are an excellent speaker for what ever price you paid. What price did you pay for you package and what speakers in the series did you get? Deals vary from dealer to dealer. When I made my first big purchase which included Mini Monitors(F/R)/CC370, I was able to pull in a 33% discount. When I upgraded to my Studio(v3)40/20/470, I was able to pull down 15% off and free speaker stands($280CDN value)

I recently visited my local authorized Paradigm dealer to see what they had in stock. They only had the monitor series on display squeezed together in a corner, a very poor display for a well regarded speaker manufacturer. Anyway I want to know if their prices are fair so I'll list some of them. Please let me know if they are in fact a good deal.
Monitor 11 - $1199.99
Monitor 9 - $899.99
Monitor 7 - $799.99
Monitor 5 - $599.99
These prices are in Canadian $.

I got a pair of monitor 11's, a cc 370, a pair of ADP 170's and a ps-1200 sub. I think the total price was 2800 Canadian dollors. How does that sound? A tad steep or right on the money.
