Cleaning speakers
I almost feel silly putting this here among so many comments about high end speakers, but among the several speakers I have is a set of Sony SRS-37 desktop powered speakers which I used with a portable CD at work. I put batteries in them, used them extensively, then put them in a drawer when I stopped carrying my CD to work. I thought I had removed the batteries, but. of course, this was not the case. Anyway, when I opened them the other day, the batteries had leaked. The acid had dried, so I was able to brush out most of it with no trouble. The speakers still work (I ran them off the headphone jack on the CD drive on my PC at work, but I want to know the best way to thoroughly clean the contacts and the battery compartment as a whole before I put new batteries in. Thanks!
