Front Surround Speaker Locations
Hello all,
I moved into a new apt. and need a little assistance with speaker placement for the fronts and backs.
My system:
Boston CR55 for front and rear with matching center
Velodyne 12" bass
Denon 1803 receiver
The room:
12'x 27', carpeted, half of the room is used for dining area.
So approximately 12'W x 13.5'D x 16'H will be used for the living area. The ceiling is vaulted (really high) in the living area, but the rest of the room is normal 8' high ceiling.
My Question:
Because I have a sliding glass door along the right side of the TV, can I mount the speaker to the wall at about 8' high (above sliding glass door) and point it down toward the sofa and loveseat? Of course I would mount the other side at same distance and height from TV (on the left side). I don't have to avoid using TV stands, but would like not to if it will not adversely affect the sound.
