Stop the rattling!

I got my SVS PB1 ISD and I put it in a corner of my room. It's at about halfway gain. Now the problem is the receiver is just to the side of it on a table and when the bass is running, it shakes and rattles stuff and making this annoying sound. I narrowed it down to the metal gratings on the top of the receiver.

I tried putting some soft material underneath, but it still does it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't move the unit as I have no other place to put it. (And I would have to get new cables which I no money for)

Thanks

try putting some weight on it without blocking the vents. Also try putting some thick tape or something of the sort undernethe the metal just to dampn the vibrations.
