This week Ken McAlinden reviews Albert Lewin's MGM adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, a highly awaited release that gets notable recommendation. Todd Erwin gives us two reviews of the recent "Indie" releases, Harold, starring Spencer Breslin -and- Dororo, a live-action comic book adaptation directed by Akihko Shiota. Axiom QS8 Surrounds

Has anyone heard the Axiom QS8 surround's with DVD-Audio and/or SACD. The consenses appears to be that a monopolar surround is best for multi chanel music, but I am curious on what your ears have told you.

I have heard many people say the QS8's are an exception with multi ch. music, regardless of the quadplolar design!

ArthurJ is correct. I own the QS8s and a Denon DVD-2900. I have about 40 SACD and DVD-Audio discs that sound great on the QS8s.

I also own the QS8's (along with M22's, VP-150 and SVS PB1), and they do work very well for DVD-A. I had also heard that the QS8's might not work that well for surround music due to its design, but I was pleasantly surprised when they sounded incredible with surround music. They obviously really shine with DVD's, but I can vouch for their performance with DVD-A as well.

QS8's sound great on my Pio 45TX and Denon 2200.
