SUB-100 + Shiva?

Hi everybody

I am planning to build a subwoofer for my next Home-Theater . But I was wondering: Will a 150 watts into 4 ohms will be enough? When I say enough, I mean will it be able to shake my house during good action movies? also consider that I have a limited budjet .

thanks

Jul

I have a 250W amp into 4 ohms powering my Shiva, and while it can get pretty loud if I want it to, I haven't managed to shake anything yet.

First off, this should be moved to the diy section...

Andrew Pratt from Winnipeg tested out CSS's EZSUB14 with a sub-100 amp and it supposedly worked wonderful...here is the link to the thread http://www.htguide.com/CFBoards/inde...artRow=1&CFB=1
So CSS out of Vancouver sells both the Adire Shiva plus the sub-100 but they sell the amp for $165 while Solen out of Quebec sells it for $114.
Also Genuine Canadian Audio out of Ontario also sells the Shiva but for $5 more.
