Do all the rear speakers need to be

the same? My setup is going to be:
Klipsch RF3, RC3, SS1, SB1, SVS sub & Pioneer 45TX. I'm pretty sure that the rears will be ok for movies, but what about music.

I'm not familiar with Klipsch, but I have some thoughts on this, from direct experience:

1) I personally believe that you can successfully mix speakers in a system, as long as they all faithfully target flat freq response, low phase variance (or at least similar phase variance between them), etc.

2) Even easier if they are different, but from the same manufacturer, because a lot of the components will be in common.

3) But keep in mind, that just due to your ears & head, and your room, speakers behind you, even if identical to those in front, *will* sound different. But all you're trying to do is to minimize the differences between the speakers themselves...

Bottom line, hook everything up and see (hear! ) what you think.

If it's not worth waiting until the last minute to do, then it's not worth doing.

I recently upgraded all three front speakers (to Def Tech BP2006TL) while keeping the surrounds I had (Energy C-1's). I was worried about a matching problem but they all sound great together for movies. However when I try the 5 channel stereo mode on my receiver the mix between the speakers doesnt sound that good. Thats ok though since I like 2 channel stereo better and dont listen to music that much.
