How does Bose AM compare to SIMILAR (size) speakers?

OK, this is just another one of those "out of curiosity" questions. I'm aware of the whole Bose deal and I agree with most people that do not like them for the obvious reasons but I couldn't help but wonder how does the AM series compare to similar (size) speaker packages like the AR CH5 or my JBL SCS 150 SI. Not considering price, how would Bose compare to those and other compact packages? Any thoughts?

Short answer, they DON'T compare, not in ANY way. The Kenwood HTIB speaker kits blow Bose away.

I have a Bose AM system and compared to other speakers similar size it sounds pretty good in my opinion. I compared it to Sony Dream systems and similar HTIBs and I thought it sounded best. But it's just my opinion.
