Alanna:
Congrats! Yeah, you said her right? What's her name? And HOW did you NOT know till 3 weeks before??? Just wondering!
I have been waiting on my disk 4 of Wolf's Rain to ship out from DDD, they forgot it on my original package. First time screw up for them...!
I also accidently double ordered 2 disks from RS, so much for being orgainized! Now I have to decide to ship them back for the full refund or just sell them....: Anyone need Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi Vol 3 w/ figures? Or Kiddy Grade Vol 8? I was pretty upset when I realized my error...I'm like, damnit...that was 2 more anime I could've had by now! Still waiting on Paranoia Agent Vol 2 to show up....anyone else seen it? How is it?
Other than that, I think I'll have to cool off the anime for a couple of weeks, get the bills caught back up...that sort of thing. I have given myself an allowance of 1 DVD per week...so far that's translated into like 3-4 but...time to be better! Damn New Years Resolutions...being reckless is definitly more fun!
Right now I'm currently still re-watching Mahoromatic and Wolf's Rain w/ Dave and I'm watching Angelic Layer on my own. Can you belive I bought all 7 volumes of this last year and never watched it? Over $200 invested in a series I hadn't touched?? Lol...well, I'm still on disk one but...I hear it's good, right? Seems to be alright...

Congratulations Alanna!
My wife and I are expecting our first (a little girl, who will be brought over the dark side as quickly as possible so Johns minions in NM will continue to grow ;-) in april.
Stacy,
I've heard that it isn't uncommon for some women to not know they're pregnant.

I picked up Samurai Champloo on a blind whim. I hear that it's really pretty good, so I guess we'll see. Also watched the first disc of Twelve Kingdoms, that series is really shaping up to be incredible on a grand scale level-sort-of-thing. Also the first disc of Azu Manga Daioh that's pretty funny stuff. I really liked that. That's it for my report.

Ryan:
Congrats! My wife and I are working on our own little 'Sith Apprentice' too .
Casey:
Samurai Champloo is quite a good show, at least from the first disk.
All:
I watched Ah! My Goddess - The Movie this evening. I liked it quite a bit, and it was definitely worth watching. Recommended.

Oh shit, how the hell did I miss that awesome burn that Dave gave me earlier!
Speaking of Adult Swim, one of the Williams St. people said that Samurai Champloo is going to be on Adult Swim. Alright, sounds good to me. *Scratched SC off the list of stuff to buy*

Her name is Kayla Joy. Didn't know Kayla was such a popular name til a few days after she was born though. I didn't know I was pregnant and neither did my doctor who I saw atleast twice a month throughout the whole year. I have and have had a plethora of medical problems and it seemed like I was relasping into gastroparesis with sputtering thyroid disease which hospitalized me for two and a half weeks in 2003. They only figured out I was pregnant when I went for an ultrasound to see if I was retaining fluid in my stomach, and instead they found a baby. Hooray.
She's completely healthy though, no problems at all, which is a miracle considering I only knew about her for three weeks before her arrival.
If anyone is interested in seeing a pic of her, I can post a link if you like.
And congrats Ryan! Little girls are the best! Help raise the next generation of geeks.
And Slayers is great, I don't know which one I am going to end up liking best (Slayers, Next, or Try) but its really cool to see the beginning like this. I did not like the original actors for Amelia and Zelgadis, and the sound is kinda "whack", I have to crank it up super loud to hear it.

That's pretty cool though you didn't know! Not much time to get nervous or anything huh? Not a lot of time to pick out a name either!

Alanna: Sure, post some pictures. I wouldn't mind seeing your little one. After your story, tho, I'm not sure I'd trust your doctor, if he couldn't figure it out. I know I'd have some doubts...
In my quest in catching up, finally saw some anime this weekend. Two episdoes of Banner Of The Stars I (two more to go), the last episode on the second disc of Noir, and Night on the Galactic Railroad. Pretty meloncoly movie...

Here's two pics:

We were still looking at names up to an hour or so before she was born. I threatened to name her Chi because we could not come up with anything. My cousin named her kid Anime though, and she doesn't even like anime. People constantly ask her "like the Japanese cartoon?" hah..
My DR pretty much saved my life when I was hospitalized in 2003 so I can forgive him this one.
