You actually watch the dubs for the various Tenchi shows? Those are bad enough to make your ears bleed  . Cowboy Bebop I can understand, although I myself prefer the original cast. Vampire Hunter D and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust have decent dubs, too.

Damn - AL#5 's out? Gotta preorder stuff - Maisson Ikkoku Coll #3 as well.
Gotta get shopping. I got a bunch of stuff from ddd and rightstuf that I ain't gonna list here, but if you look in my collection link, you will see what I got. Glad to say that I now possess all of You're Under Arrest - the movie and the minispecials (I already possess all of the tv series - 4 boxes from animeigo). As to when I will watch it... well I got FF XI for the ps2 last wednesday so like kong, you will see me here less often.
So looks like I will try to get Rahxephon as well. Too many series and manga. Too little time and money. Blechh - the travails of a collector...
UPDATE: just ordered AL #5 and #6, Maison Ikkoku Coll #3 and City Hunter 2 col 1 and col 2.

Another great dub is "El Hazard". The actors did a great job with that one.
I also think "Trigun"'s dub to be pretty good, tho I'm still not sure about the guy playing Vash.

I couldn't stand the dubbing on Zenki. Probably the only one in my collection I really can't stand. The guy's a controlled demon who wants to reign havok all over the place and they give him a voice that is better suited for Captain America or something. Very annoying. Luckily Kappei Yamaguchi who does the Inuyasha voice does Zenki's so I'm happy with the sub.

Most of the old Pioneer dubs are quite competent, although the sound mixes are often quite different -- mostly the effects and BGM are weaker, sometimes they're dropped out entirely. The Tenchi dub actors doen't do a terrible job, especially in the later episodes, but Petrea Burchard freely admits [in the omake] that she can't do what Orikasa Ai does in the way of expression, and I just plain don't like the voices of Mark Miller [Tenchi] or the lady who does Washu [credited in the earlier episodes, which are all I have near to hand right now, as "Gee Gee Loo Loo" reportedly owing to labour union trouble] as much as Masami Kikuchi and Kobayashi Yuko. Just because a dub is good of its kind doesn't mean I'll listen to it frequently [I have a couple of discs I've never listened to the dub all the way through for at all, generally because I just couldn't take it after a few minutes], although I do generally, when I have the choice, go dub, sub, and Japanese-only each at least once. It would have to stand on its own as a part of the story, and not just an aid to comprehension, for me to consider it primary entertainment -- for me dubs are not much different from subtitles most of the time, just a crutch for my limping comprehension and not a part of the art itself like the original language track.

I notice a civil dub discussion going on.
I watch most anime dubbed. I noticed I tend to prefer movies subbed and series dubbed. I THINK it's because, in a series, identification with the characters and their issues is most important - and decent dub VAs bring the story and performance across more clearly, easier to identify with the characters and their suffering/issues/triumphs.
With movies, it's a one-shot deal, long-term identification with the characters is not so important as is accurate translation of the dialogue...maybe?
Not quite sure why I prefer series dubbed and movies subbed.
Something that always sticks in my head is in Escaflowne (movie or series) when Van shouts "Brother!" It always seems like the English VA totally nails that co-mingled love/anger/respect/disdain type thing they have going on. Just right. All in one itty bitty little word.
But I hate changes to the script with a passion, or dumbing down of a word in translation. I actually listen to the dub for Crest/Banner of the Stars *ducking the flame attacks*. Since I started watching it that way a couple years back (one of my first animes since I gave up watching in the late 90s), it doesn't seem right to watch it any other way. But the translations are frequently horrible, and Crest's dub (using that Wordfit crap) is very erratic.

Heh - zenki is fun but average series. It seems I did well to avoid seeing the dub. Me, I am lucky to see just the subbed versions, as I collect quite a bit o' anime. Between the job, games (final fantasy 11 for ps2 right now, first MMORPG), and anime/manga I have no time to rewatch a series, much less the dub.
As anti dub I may seem, I actually support dubs in the sense that they will broaden the audience *and customer* base, leaving the distributers a chance to bring lesser known series.
The two dubs I thoroughly enjoyed in my life of anime were three:
My Neighbor Totoro - despite his much maligned rep, Macek and Streamline did produce the Fox dvd/vhs dub of My Neighbor Totoro. Thoroughly enjoyable for all audiences, and a great dub to boot. Feels just like the Japanese, except in English.
Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away were the other two dubs worthy of mention.

All three of those were Miyazaki films, and the dubs at least for the last two were done with the involvement of the director [Macek's Totoro dub was done for JAL so they could show the film in flight on the transPacific routes -- ol' Carl himself provides the voice of the Catbus]. Maybe this process should be followed more often!
