I had pretty good haul for DVD Day (TM). I picked up Infinite Ryvius vol. 6, Last Exile vol. 5, Predator: CE, Saiyuki vol. 1, and Tenchi in Tokyo vol. 4 (Signature Series). Infinite Ryvius marks the 27th series I've completed this year, which puts me ahead of last year's total (26).

Well, yes, it's archaic looking. I mean, it was made in 1986 for crying out loud! But it is quite good nonetheless. And I might mention that it presents a certain amount of "sexual ambiguity tension" without being in the slightest a "gay" anime.

Alanna:
Well, hopefully the games I got you should tide you over. I mean if you lived closer, like in NYC (*shameless plug for my beloved city*) you could like come over and see my collection of movies and anime, and play on one of my 4 game systems *psx, PS2, DC, NGC*. Heh - you'd get more use outta my games than I do, as I really must choose between the anime and the game, and usually, the one with less effort wins out *anime, that is*.
ChrisDAC:
Yes, I am very envious of you and your LD collection. Anime LD - mmmm. *is tinged green with envy*
JohnAD:
For Kenshin, I think I posted earlier that upto disc 18 - even 19 - is still quite entertaining, though nowhere near the dramatic Kyoto Arc. After that though, the series takes a dive into uncharacteristic silliness. I think you will be very happy with the really funny last episode of Disc 18, as I was.
Tony-B:
As bad as I've heard they are, I'd bet if you read enough of them, they'd become blase. Overexposure, I guess...
Hmm - not much to say, really.
Well, I did start SuperGals last nite, and watched 6 episodes before sleep kicked in. Finished Disc 1 and started Disc 2. Fun series, interesting art style, and fun characters. I have the entire series (six discs, another otakon purchase (got 2-6)) so hopefully I'll be done with it by thurs/fri.
This weekend will be Washington DC/Baltimore weekend, where we will go to see some touristy sites in DC, and the Aquarium in Baltimore. It'll just be fore one day. If Sunday is free, I'll definately have finished Supergals by then...

I guess, but you know what? It would be torture to get to that point!

Woo:
I'll keep that in mind. I didn't get to watch any anime last night. My wife wanted to finish up The Grid, which had a pretty good ending for a good show. I'm laso keeping an eye out for my replacement Strawberry Eggs vol. 4. I'll give DDD a call sometime next week to see if they've gotten the package yet. I sent the return out on Friday evening, so it should be getting there soon.

Tony: I actually know two people that LOVE Yu-Gi-Oh. Its rather sad I think, since I can sit through Pokemon but Yu-Gi-Oh is just a painful excrutiating experience. *sigh*
Woo: Ah it would be great if I lived closer, but I have to wonder, what is a NGC? Nintendo Gamecube? Neo Geo (Pocket?) Color? I have a Pocket Color and was really crushed when they stopped supporting it in the US. Been playing alot of La Pucelle lately, hope to finish it by the weekend. Its sometimes hard for me to choose between anime or games too, depends on how tired I am after working all night.
I do have several series on tap to watch through, Steel Angel Kurumi, Berserk, a couple of others and some assorted one offs, cheapies and movies.
Too bad I don't have any friends that actually buy anime. They want to borrow what I have, but balk at the thought of purchasing some DVDs of their own. I never can understand this, and hate loaning stuff out. Always I suggest watching on my setup but its always the same thing "why would I want to watch it here when I can take it home?" I think I've complained about this before but it just irritated me recently because one of them tried to make off with all my Sailor Moon at once and was confused and upset because I wouldn't loan it out. Ah well guess I just have weird friends.
Anime Collecting: Inu Yasha, Scrapped Princess
Last Purchases: Kaliedo Star Amazing Collection, Mezzo DC, Mezzo Thinpak, Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum thinpak, Inu Yasha S2, Angelic Layer, Super Gals! Ironclad Collection, My Dear Marie

I'm going to see Yu-Gi-Oh
How could I resist seeing Yami Yugi on the B I G S C R E E N!?
Plus the dub is SO hilariously bad (unlike the Pokemon dub, which is actually quite good if you've seen the show subtitled [outside of Meowth, the edits and name changes, that is])

Bah -
Alanna:
It sounds normal. NGC is Nintendo Game Cube, sorry I didn't clarify. Well, to me, you seem perfectly normal.

Alanna:
I'm so like that. I really don't like lending my collection out, and most of my friends won't buy their own disks.
