I didn't watch too much last night. I got through Tenchi Muyo! Mihoshi Special/Pretty Sammy. On a non-anime related note, I started playing Doom 3 last night, and even on my lower-end system, it was a thing of beauty (and fear) .

My order from DDD came this morning! Unfortunately, my Strawberry Eggs vol. 4 came without a disk . Luckily, I didn't have any problems with DDD's CS, so they'll be replacing it as soon as they get it back. My Rurouni Kenshin boxed set 3 was ok, thank goodness.

ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB
2 Hard Drives (20 MB, 60 MB)

4x DVD +/- R/RW
I've been playing at 1024x768 at Medium quality, and it *still* really looks good.

I started playing doom 3 a couple days ago and it is truly amazing, very frightening. I definitely recommend downloading it...er i mean buying it. jk jk hehehe
On to anime, I've been watching a lot of sailor moon recently, good stuff. I am still waiting for my Sailor Moon S box set to arrive from deep discount... I'm getting annoyed that it hasn't come.

John: Maybe I'll give it a download to see how it plays on this POS PC. If you can run it on 1024x768 medium quality on your PC, then I bet I could run it at 640x480 low quality on this PC.

Min. Doom3 requirement is a Radeon 8500/GF4 (non-MX). Barely. I heard someone on Anand forum was running it on a high-end GF3 with tolerable results.
Here's some benchmarks for the lowest settings:

I need a video card upgrade, but with the housebuying in progress, it's not a good time. Maybe later this year.

Gideon - "Probably. Screw them."

Hmm - well did some non anime things. On Friday, I ended up seeing *for free* some Shakespeare in Central Park. The play was Much Ado About Nothing, with some great actors. It was pretty chilly though - I think mid 60's.
Good Thing I did not have to stay in line for tickets. My mom and cousin went on line at 7 am on friday, and got tickets by 130pm on that day.
On the anime front, finished Azumanga Daioh 2-3. It's a blast, and I will have to agree that the manga (goes upto volume 4), which I finished yesterday, is not well translated (as versus the subbed anime). Still good fun though, and if you don't want to get the anime, not a bad substitute, though not great either....
I also started Chobits, and have finished disc 1 and 2. Good stuff. But no more anime this weekend. Gotta still catch up at work.

Wow...I haven't posted in a long long time.
Dave made me cancel all my anime orders *sob* until the house buying is done in Sept. So, it's back to gool ol' fashioned driving to Saginaw and going to Best Buy for my weekly fix.
Oh wait, did i say that? hehe...

Heh - Stacey, with the new house you'll have more room for stuff *not to mention more ways and places to misplace things.... *
So don't despair...
